The sound of commotion downstairs bought the rest of the family to the hallway to see what the racket was all about.
The first sight they saw was the figure of a ghostly white Khushi with hands wrapped tightly around the back of a dining chair trying desperately to stay in control of herself.
Next they saw the reason behind all the commotion - a shouting match between Arnav and NK.
'What the hell where you thinking?!!! Bringing him here...do you not realise what dangerous position you have now left Khushi ji in?!!!'
'NK when you don't know the whole story, don't start judging and questioning my decisions...'
'The same goes to you Nannav...if you don't know the whole story then you shouldn't judge either...'
Seeing the argument becoming more and more heated by the minute Aakash, and the rest behind him proceeded to stop the two and get to the bottom of the matter before either of them hurt each other...but before they had taken two steps all of them froze as they saw the man who still stood by the doorway, nursing his neck and watching calmly, amused at the banter between the two cousins. Shyam.
Before anyone could even come up with a coherent response, the loud shrill voice of Anjali silenced everyone.
'AAP!!! AAP AAGAI!! ' (Your here!!!)
Anjali rushed past the dumbstruck family and a flushed Arnav and NK, to the man only she was overjoyed by seeing in the house. After giving him a loving hug, she began her usual interrogation.
'Where were you? Why didn't you answer my calls? Do you know how worried I have been? You know I worry, so why didn't you call?!!!'
'Waow...relax Di, if you don't give Jiju the time to answer then how will he answer your questions...'exclaimed Arnav in a very controlled voice, who had managed to separate himself from NK and was now standing protectively over his Di.
'Chotey...what is the meaning of all this?' Nani's voiced the baffled thoughts of the rest of the family members. But before she or any of them could question him further he shot them a poignant look, silencing them. Stating that he would explain everything after Anjali was out of ear-shot.
'Exactly Rani Sahiba...give me a chance to breathe. Firstly sorry, Rani Sahiba that I got you so rattled, but I got blind-sighted yesterday and was forced to leave...to Pune but today is a new day, and things will go my way and besides 'Im home now Rani Sahiba, just for you and Khushi...our little Khushi' he added the latter tauntingly to Arnav, enjoying every bit of the moment. He had Arnav on a tight-leash and was happily toying around with it, ensuring maximum torture for Arnav. After all, he was Shyam Manohar Jha and he wasn't going to live down the humiliation he had received at the hands of Arnav Singh Raizada so easily. He was going to make sure Arnav suffered. And Arnav had as good as handed over the reigns to him for his own torture by bringing him back to Shantivan. Granted he had 'conditions' to follow but Arnav Singh Raizada had paved the way to his destruction by giving into his Di's demands and knocking on his door this morning. No doubt Arnav Singh Raizada had something brewing in his mind, probably thought he could control him, Shyam Manohar Jha. But unlike Arnav, Shyam was under no illusion and knew both of Arnav's weaknesses while Arnav assumed wrongly about his. Arnav Singh Raizada was in for the most brutal ride of his life and he had willingly gotten into the car...not a smart move by the ruthless, self-made business tycoon.
