Hi guys this story is very close to my heart. It was given to me as a challenge to write by a very dear friend of mine.
Her challenge for me was:

So before you guys launch into this story, there are somethings I wish to clear:
But even before I explain the dynamics of this story I wish to clarify that neither me nor my friend are suggesting it should be acceptable to have had sex before marriage for either of the sexes or that it shouldn't be, that is a personal choice and we do not wish to upset or suggest anything of the sort. My friend asked me to write a story on this topic not because of what she approves or disapproves of, but because she was fed up of watching/listening/reading stories where it was acceptable that the man was a playboy but not a woman, where a woman was expected to accept a man who was not a virgin but a man was supposed to disdain a woman who was not. Thus she challenged me to write one where Khushi would not be a virgin and Arnav would be.
I wish to clarify that this is not our opinion or we by no mean suggest one should or shouldn't, like I said it is one's personal opinion and I wish to apologise from the beginning for anything that I may write in this FF that may hurt your feelings, please believe me when I say that I do not mean to do it. I know it may be hard and many a times you may get angry at me, but try and remember that it is a story and not my opinion, or friend's for that matter. In this story we are just trying to present that it shouldn't always be the woman making all the compromises that is all. Please try to take it as a story and not anything more; having said this I don't mean to stop you from telling me what you think, you are most welcome to state your opinion on anything I write and complain to me about it, I always welcome criticism as it helps better my writing, all I ask of you is to remember that what I write is not my opinion but fiction. :)

Oki hoping to have clarified that I will now explain how this story will differ from my previous works and the show we all love and thoroughly miss:
Previously in my stories you would have seen me stick to each character personality the way it was shown in the show, however, in this one you will see me deviate from it (not completely but some subtle changes) and also find that I will change key things in the story, so there is no back story to this FF as such, as in normally I would start off at a key point in the story and proceed from there so that anything which happened prior to it would be just the way it was in the show...however here I am starting fresh, you will by all means see many similarities and many scenes occurring in the FF, the way they did in the show, but in a new light, as in those things will happen due to other reasons, rather than those which were shown in the show...
Ok so why I am going to change the characters, well because Khushi's virginity is her prized possession in the show, she guards it with all her principles and morals she will not just give it away, but the fact that in this FF she starts off not as a virgin kind of reverses her characterization as it is, that is why I will be changing some aspects of her character, but most will be the same. The same goes for Arnav, I'm not going to get into the heated debate of whether or not he was virgin in the show, that is your opinion and what you believe, I will not bother with trying to decipher whether or not he was, but the point is whether or not he was a virgin in the show, he clearly didn't care about it as much as Khushi. As in he wasn't bothered about it, it wasn't a condition for him that he will only have sex after marriage, because one he didn't believe in the institution of marriage and two if he wanted to he would have sex, he didn't see it as something he should save for the special girl, he didn't believe in love...however, in this FF he will be seen valuing love and marriage and sex out of wedlock as disdainful ...and that will be the dilemma him having to get past the fact that Khushi isn't a virgin. That for once, as my friend said, the man will have to get over it and fall unconditionally in love, not the woman.

Arnav and Anjali are siblings, their history is the same. They moved in with their Nani after their parents commit suicide. Arnav was engaged to Lavanya but she died in an accident. Anjali has recently been divorced.
Payal is getting married to Aakash, he is NOT Arnav's cousin. (Arnav lives in Delhi with his Di and Nani, no other relatives on his mother's side and his father's side has disowned them like the way in the show).
Khushi is engaged to her best friend, Shyam, soon to be married. Her history is the same too, orphaned at eight, when her parents died in a car crash. She lives with Garima, Shashi, Madhumathi and Payal in Lucknow. Payal will be moving to Delhi after marriage as that is where Aakash's business is, his parents live in Lucknow.
